"I am the lost Princess, aren't I?"

I guess you can call me an internet junkie. I love my reditt and tumblr with all my internet self-loating heart. As you can see I don't get out much..

The internet...has forever changed my life (Thank you Leonard Kleinrock! <3) I finally convinced my mom that i needed to get connection for schoolwork...she probably gave in because it was the only thing that keeps me distracted enough from going outside...which we all know will never happen ugh. The downside? She's got all the fun sites blocked and an hour time limit! >:[ Sometimes, on a good day, I can connect to some free wifi around the neighborhood and surf on the good stuff...like this blogger!

According to mom, my home school is located in a pretty bad area. She claims home school is my best option...I don't buy it though. My favorite subject is astronomy (I'm a Taurus, in case you were wondering)...I love painting my own charted maps around the room; my favorite is the most current project I'm working on...a  sun emblem! I've also been studying healing powers recently and dream of someday working with genetic alterations and physical distortions of biological functions. I just want to fight diseases and aging!

I've been working really hard to get accepted somewhere far away from here for university...I want to explore the world and see what's behind these four walls! I guess until then, I'll have my tumblr feed to admire all the eye candy I'm missing out on :\. Crap, I hear my mom calling--got to sign off! Until next time bloggers!

I want adventure...

Charlotte Bronte once said, “I am no bird; and no net ensnares me: I am a free human being with an independent will.”

Often times us princesses get a bad rep of relying on men and our journeys end when we get married. I disagree and want to express to you that you don’t need to live a life chasing after prince charming to be content. We are powerful, daring, hard working and should let no men make us feel incompetent!

I live in a small village in France where people think I am quite unusual because I rather read a book on a Friday night then go get my nails done with my girlfriends. I believe beauty comes from within and you shouldn’t worry so much about outer appearances; wear what you feel comfortable in and don't care what people think--especially men. Don’t get me started on the men here. There’s this douche bag (sorry for the language) named Gaston and I cannot stand him. He is the epitome of the typical close minded man. Get this, his ideal marriage is to have several good looking sons with him, massage his feet, cook his dinner, clean the floors and the worst of it all, no reading because he thinks intelligent women don’t exist! Kill me now!  Below is a conversation I had with him the other day. No joke.

Gaston: How can you read this? There's no pictures!
Me: Well, some people use their imagination.

Why can’t there be decent men around here? Sorry for venting but I think I am going to go back to reading to get my mind off things ;) I will leave you with a list of books I am currently into. Also if you are reading any of them please comment below on your thoughts and reactions to it! Would love to discuss.

The Twelve Tribes of Hattie

And The Mountains Echoed

Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?

Aurora is the name but you should really call me Briar Rose.

I adore the sun. The sun is my everything. There is something mystifying about being alone outdoors and completely shutting your eyes. As the sun hits my eyelids, I can feel being one with nature. Inspiration comes pouring inside to my body and soul.

Tribes. I believe everyone should have a strong tribe. Mine consists of Flora, Fauna and Merryweather who have been with me since the day I was born. Without them, I would not be the girl I am today.

I enjoy making music, writing poetry and attending music festivals.  I have met the greatest kinds of people at these festivals. People are so intriguing. I love hearing their stories and where they came from.
I find freedom in making music and beauty in expressing yourself through instruments.

I am free, daring, enjoy traveling, and pushing life to its limits.

Here is what I wore to my friends show I attended last week:

White Dress: Nasty Gal
Dip Dye Lace Robe: Free People
Rose Cuff: Urban Outfitters
Black Boots: Revolve Clothing
Floral Crown: Hand picked from my beautiful lush garden

Bands I am currently vibing with:

Simon and Garfunkel
Best Coast

Fleetwood Mac
Tame Impala

Washed Out

I am going to leave you with a poem inspired by my dream last night.

Dark dreams…
an enchanted rose
falls onto my lips.
